As an eight-year-old, I was introduced to yoga by my aunty. I loved the postures and I had great flexibility at that age. The awareness of Body, Mind & Soul did not really resonate with me at that time in my life. In all honesty, through the years, yoga was more of a time to be supple and flexible. While still searching for the union between a flexible body and a flexible mind, I went through life with many ups and downs. It was in 2011 I faced my biggest life challenge, Breast Cancer. It was only then, I realized I had lost my connection and needed to go within and heal my soul.

Following months of exhausting treatment, I returned home to Esperance and I wasn’t really in a position to find my place back in the real world. With yoga always in my life, I tried to keep up with my practice. However, losing my lymph nodes in my arm, following the cancer surgery, a swollen, angry, lymphedema affected arm, impacted on my ability to do yoga as I knew it. My practice needed to change.

It was at this time, a friend said something to me, that planted a seed and inspired me to find my true path. Sharon, being a reflexologist, guided me to take spiritual journey. It was then I completed Reiki l, with Jennice from Willow Relaxation. The Reiki was amazing and it allowed me to better grasp an understanding of the healing process, using life force energy, through the hands. I practised on loved ones and friends and I wanted to learn and feel more.

Then, on trip to Indonesia, I found Reiki Master Gede Ngurah Wijaya, and I furthered my Reiki studies.  Opportunely, on the same trip, while at the Yoga Barn in Ubud, I attended my first ever, Kundalini Yoga class. The experience, was something I had never felt before and left me totally revived and completely happy. I felt like I had come home and my soul felt truly connected. This new yoga was for me. It connected me in such a way that I felt a sense of deep love within myself. It felt as though I started a journey to discover more about me and Kundalini Yoga.

It was in 2017, I embarked on Kundalini of the Aquarian Age – Teacher Training. This was an epic journey of letting go of old stories and moving forward and connecting to the flow with so much more ease. On completing of my training and with the support of Twilight Yoga Studio founder and friend, Melisa Rowe, I began to regularly teach Kundalini Yoga. Teaching Kundalini has given me confidence, direction, clarity and passion to guide others on their journey of Kundalini Yoga, which has opened the door to my new life.

My third part of my healing journey was again inspired by my friend Melisa. She enrolled me to complete Klik® for children, which ignited an even bigger flame. I felt inspired to learn more. The Peter Hess® method using sound massage with singing bowls, resonated with me. Using singing bowls on a client’s clothed body, creates vibrations through a pleasant sound, rich in overtones, invites wellbeing and harmony. The vibrations of the singing bowls continue by degrees through the skin, the tissue, the body cavity, the organs, the bones and the whole body.

I am tremendously grateful that the three modalities are intertwined and deeply connect each individual to their true essence. This helps me to feel connected to my true spirit and assists me to feel balanced and open to my heart centre.

I hope to continue to offer these modalities in a quiet, safe environment with peace and love in my heart. I offer individual work if necessary, and I can devise individualised Kundalini Yoga programs, for those who are seeking a path of guided change.
